Just steps from downtown, in the historical city of Greenwood, BC, Deadwood Junction is housed in an "Old West" board and batton building that started life in 1940 as the infamous Phoenix Service Station.
The name, Deadwood Junction, reflects the diversity of our unique venture. Firstly, it is a celebration and tribute to the heritage and history of the area. Located at the junction of Hwy #3 and Deadwood Road, the name salutes the men that worked the Deadwood Mine and the families that called the town of Deadwood home during the Boundary area gold rush at the turn of the century.
The name also has roots in Deadwood, South Dakota, a popular motorcycle destination. We are a family of motorcycle riders and while biker bars are a standard piece of the riding culture, our motorcycle destination appeals to a different breed of biker - those who would rather drink a latte than a lager! Located on one of the top-ranking motorcycle-riding highways in the province, Deadwood Junction is home to the Kootenay's only cappuccino bar geared toward motorcycle enthusiasts. "Your coffee, your way" is the motto at the Tarnished Turkey Cappuccino Bar. Your barista believes that your coffee is just as custom as the artwork on display. We start with freshly roasted, organic/fair trade coffee beans from Oso Negro in Nelson, BC, and make sure that every cup is produced to the highest standards in the coffee culture. Whether it is a rich dark crema topped with light and creamy foam, or a boldly roasted house coffee without the bitter after-taste. Take your coffee on the road or enjoy it in an antique-furnished parlour with your friends, the choice is yours.
